Drake Leads At BET Awards With 12 Nominations

Drake

The BET Awards should be called the Drake Awards.
The rapper-singer is up for 12 honors, including five nominations for video of the year, which has 10 nominees.
His own hits – "Started from the Bottom" and "HYFR" – are up for the top prize, as well as his guest appearances on 2 Chainz's "No Lie," A$AP Rocky's "(Expletive) Problems" and Kendrick Lamar's "Poetic Justice." Other video of the year nominees are Justin Timberlake's "Suit & Tie," Rihanna's "Diamonds," "Adorn" by Miguel, Kanye West's "Mercy" and "Thrift Shop" by Macklemore & Ryan Lewis.
While 26-year-old Drake is mostly battling himself for the night's top award – to air live Sunday from the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live – some of his friends (and enemies) will blaze the stage, including Nicki Minaj and Chris Brown, who is nominated for best male R&B artist. Minaj, who has won best female hip-hop artist for three consecutive years, is up for the honor again with little competition.
But the animated rapper isn't the only diva taking the stage: Mariah Carey is also set to sing her latest single, "(hash)Beautiful," with Miguel.
Justin Timberlake, who has four nominations including best male R&B artist and best collaboration for "Suit & Tie" with Jay-Z, will also perform. Other performers include Stevie Wonder, R. Kelly, India.Arie, Ciara and Robin Thicke, who's "Blurred Lines" is spending its third week on top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
2 Chainz and Lamar, who had a breakthrough this year with his critically acclaimed major label debut, "good kid, m.A.A.d city," follow Drake with eight nominations each.
Timberlake, Drake, Lamar, Rocky, Miguel and Rihanna will compete for the fan-voted viewer's choice award. Charlie Wilson will earn the lifetime achievement award and Dwyane Wade, who recently won the NBA Finals with the Miami Heat, will receive the humanitarian award.
Chris Tucker will host the awards show, and presenters include Jamie Foxx, Angela Bassett, Paula Patton and Gabrielle Union.
Sunday's BET Awards is the last part of the network's three-day, weekend event dubbed "BET Experience at L.A. Live." It kicked off Friday with a Beyonce concert, and other performers throughout the weekend included Miguel, The Jacksons and R. Kelly0

Alesha Dixon's Nigerian baby daddy, Az Ononye makes £15k a year

The Sun UK. They are probably wondering why a multi millionaire pop star is dating and pregnant for a guy who earns in a year what she probably earns in day. Well, it's called love. Check out The Sun UK report below..The father of Alesha Dixon’s baby is a £15,000-a-year dancer who lives in a modest flat. Britain’s Got Talent star Alesha stunned the showbiz world last week by revealing she is pregnant with Azuka Ononye’s child. Until that point the millionaire former pop star had kept the relationship secret. And far from being a fellow celebrity, Azuka, or AZ as he is known to pals, came from humble beginnings in Nigeria and has had to scrape a living for years.

When he was a teenager he moved to the UK for a better life with his two elder brothers. They raised him in a council flat in Fulham, West London — where he still lived until recently. It’s a world away from the Hertfordshire mansion owned by Alesha, who earns £400,000 as a BGT judge and has other lucrative contracts.
Last night a close pal said: “She and AZ are perfect for each other and they are madly in love, but they couldn’t have more different lives.”
AZ hates sponging off Alesha, 34, and insists on paying his own way, but the former singer with Noughties girl group Mis-Teeq has treated him to the high life.
They have been on several expensive holidays to Miami and Europe.
Meanwhile, his pals have dubbed him the “Louis Vuitton man” because of the designer clothes she buys him.
Our exclusive pictures show the couple at a 32nd birthday party Alesha arranged for AZ earlier this year. She booked The Crazy Bear Club in Beaconsfield, Bucks, and invited all his friends and family - splashing out thousands of pounds. The couple met in 2006 when AZ worked as a dancer for R&B group Mis-Teeq, whose hits included Scandalous.
At the time Alesha was still recovering from the heartache of being two-timed by So Solid Crew husband, MC Harvey, 34.
Alesha and AZ became great friends, but did not take it further until 2010.

Kim & Kanye set trap for their friends by distributing fake baby pics

Kanye and Kim set a trap for their friends to see which one would sell a picture of their new baby. According to TMZ, they received a photo purportedly of North West but when they checked with Kim's camp to see if it was the real baby pic, they discovered they had received one of several decoy photos distributed by the couple.

TMZ reports:

Someone has been trying to sell this baby pic for a lot of $$$$ -- allegedly the spawn of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West.  But sources connected with the couple tell TMZ, it's a fraud! So here's what we're being told. Kim felt people in her world were going to hawk baby photos, so she wanted to catch the culprits quickly.  We're told Kim hatched a plan and sent a half-dozen of her "friends" pictures of a baby she claimed was North West -- but we're told it was an impostor infant. Sure enough ... someone came along and tried selling us this pic (above).  Gotta say ... it looks like it could be Kim and Kanye's baby.  It has the right ... well, you know ... but Kim would obviously pick a pic of an impostor baby that had the qualities of her own child.
Our K & K sources have seen the pic and claim it's not the real deal.By the way ... we also got hold of another pic of a baby Kim sent to several other friends -- Bogus Baby #2.  We're told she's waiting to see if someone tries to sell this one as well.

" OJB Jezreel says:"I have 8 to 10 weeks left to get the transplant done.

OJB Jezreel gave an interview to Encomium magazine yesterday Monday June 24th where he said he has about eight weeks left to get his operation done. Excerpts...
"When early diagnosis was done, it was just a case of renal failure. Right now, my two kidneys are gone. We are running dialysis at the moment. It started two years ago, but gradually depreciated. Most people tend to attribute kidney problem to drinking and smoking. I was told it doesn't have anything to do with that, because as much as I drink and smoke then, it was casual drinking. Maybe they offer you a bottle of drink and all that but not like I drink 15 bottles a day. I have a friend who has gone through this and he never drank or smoked.
"The whole process of the treatment from pre-process, transplanting process and post-transplanting will cost about $100, 000. In two years I have spent up to N5million which I have been trying to maintain myself. That is why it has been kept secret."
"God willing, I have like eight to ten weeks more to get the transplant done. It's strange, I still walk around a little. I can't eat much though. I trust God and Nigerians for their financial support"

Fat Joe 'Goin' Down' For Tax Evasion With Four Months In Jail

Fat Joe Needed 'Instagram' Warning: 'Joe, Don't Do It'Rapper's tax troubles caught up to him and he got sentenced to four months in prison on Monday (June 24) after he pleaded guilty to failure to file federal income taxes.
The rapper assured MTV News back in May that he was making good on his debt by paying back all that he owed, but he couldn't escape the prison time the Associated Press is reporting. Originally the government alleged that Joe failed to pay taxes on $3 million in income from 2007 to 2010, and in December, he admitted in court to failing to pay taxes on more than $1 million between 2007 and 2008.
Joe sat down with "RapFix Live" show host Sway Calloway in May, and while he said he takes full responsibility for his debt, he did allude that there were other parties who contributed to his troubles. "You gotta understand we hire guys who are supposed have Harvard degrees to take care of us," he began to explain then. "All the time you see artists, the first thing they did to you when you caught money was introduce you to a bunch of fancy guys with bow ties who are gonna take care of your money and all that and then you always see an artist or a celebrity or somebody like that goin' down for it and these guys never go down for it."
The Terror Squad leader promised that he will give the real story, once all of his troubles are behind him. I'll explain the story after that so you'll get a real understanding of what happened to me," he said. "It's no excuses."

Jada Pinkett Smith says a cheat deserves a second chance

Will Smith's wife writes on her Facebook page
Should I stay with a mate after she or he has cheated on me? (This is not referring to habitual cheaters. That is a different matter.)
This is a very personal choice, and there is no right or wrong answer. If your partner is remorseful and is willing to work it out, I would suggest trying to look at it from this vantage point. My observation has been that when most people cheat, they are trying to solve a problem. They are usually in some kind of emotional trouble or confusion that they believed the cheating would relieve. What's interesting is that most of the time the cheating has nothing to do with YOU. Now the question becomes, are you willing to put all ego aside and reach for some deep compassion to try to figure out what the trouble is, and, as partners, try to solve it? Know this, if someone has cheated on you who truly loves you, they have hurt themselves as much as they have hurt you. This makes for a great opportunity to deepen the relationship with thorough honesty, which creates deeper respect with some serious setting of boundaries. This is also when love gets real and true and illuminates what you are made of as a couple and as individuals. Situations like these could be the windows to a deeper commitment OR... to two separate paths on the way to look for new partners. Only the unique nature of your specific relationship can be the telling factor.

Nigerians to start paying £3, 000 to enter the UK from November

According to a report by UK Daily Mail, visitors from 'high risk' countries in Africa and Asia will have to put up a £3,000 cash bond to enter Britain.
The money will be kept by the Government if visitors do not return home by the time their visas expire.
A pilot scheme, introduced by Home Secretary Theresa May, will target hundreds of people coming to Britain on six-month visit visas from India, Pakistan, Nigeria, Ghana, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.
The countries have been picked for their high number of visa applications and what the Government sees as relatively high levels of immigration abuse and fraud, reports the Sunday Times.
The bonds, to be introduced from November, will only apply to non-EU migrants, otherwise they would fall foul of European rights to free movement.
'This is the next step in making sure our immigration system is more selective, bringing down net migration from the hundreds of thousands to the tens of thousands while still welcoming the brightest and the best to Britain,' Mrs May told the Sunday Times.
'In the long run we’re interested in a system of bonds that deters overstaying and recovers costs if a foreign national has used our public services.'
A second scheme will cover countries such as Kenya, the newspaper reports, which are considered to be lower-risk because immigration officials have fewer doubts about migrants' plans to return home.
About 2.2million people are granted visas to enter Britain every year. Last year 296,000 people from India were granted six-month visas, as were 101,000 from Nigeria, 53,000 from Pakistan and 14,000 apiece from Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.
The Home Secretary plans to reduce annual net migration to under 100,000 by 2015
