Simon Cowell expecting a baby with Lauren Silverman

Lauren, 36, is said to be 'around 10 weeks along' in the pregnancy, according to Us Weekly magazine. Cowell, 53, and Lauren have been seeing each for at least a year, according to friends. They were even seen viewing houses together in Los Angeles earlier this year.
X Factor judge Cowell and Lauren have also frequently been seen on holiday together, with the pretty brunette a regular fixture during the mogul's holidays in St Barts forthe past three years.

In January, the pair were even seen lounging together on the deck of the yacht alongside Cowell's ex-fiancée Mezhgan Hussainy and Lauren's husband Andrew.

The friend said: 'Lauren loves Simon, she says that she wants to marry him. And with the baby, she's going the right way about it! But I think this could be really good for Simon.'

Desperate fight for survival? A picture appears to show a man swallowed whole by a shark frantically trying to release himself by forcing his arm through the creature's gills and stabbing it in the head...i can see  ur face.

In fact the photo has proved to be quite stomach-churning for all who see it for the first time when they walk into the Metung Hotel, in the Gippsland region of Victoria.
But all is not as it seems.
The unnamed fisherman did catch the shark and he did end up in its stomach.
But first he made sure the shark was very dead before he gutted it and then crawled inside its body to prepare for a prank photo that would be taken by one of his friends.

The dramatic part came when he then pushed his tattooed arm out through the shark's gills and pretended to be fighting for his life by stabbing the killer fish in the head.
Locals, said radio host John Burns of Melbourne's 3AW, who was sent a copy of the photo, refer to the fisherman as the Shark Slayer.

United ready to smash their transfer record with third bid for Fabregas worth £35m

Manchester United are prepared to break their transfer record with a third and final offer of £35million for Barcelona's Cesc Fabregas.
The Spain midfielder is David Moyes's prime target as United's new boss looks to add a creative spark ahead of the start of the season.
The Barclays Premier League champions have been negotiating with Barcelona for several weeks, with opening bids of £26m and £30m rejected by the Catalan side.

Now, United look set to return with a bid approaching £35m plus add-ons that would smash the £30.75m Sir Alex Ferguson paid to land Dimitar Berbatov in 2008.
In public at least, Barca remain adamant Fabregas will not be sold, with new coach Gerardo Martino saying: 'I'm not going to involve myself in the club accounts, but considering the club has already rejected two offers, I would guess it will reject a third.'
Sportsmail understands Fabregas has told friends he would be open to the possibility of joining United and is keen to link up once more with former Arsenal team-mate Robin van Persie.
Although Barcelona's preference is to keep hold of Fabregas, it is understood that they could be swayed by the huge sum United are prepared to offer, although the player may be required to hand in a transfer request to force through the move.
Should the move fail to materialise, United will look to Everton's Marouane Fellaini and Real Madrid's Luka Modric as alternatives.

'Pronto' splashed the picture on their front page with the headline 'Night of chaos in Las Vegas.'
It went on to claim the picture is threatening the relationship between Messi and girlfriend Antonella Roccuzzo, who is the mother of his nine-month-old son Thiago.

 

 According to the publication Pronto, Roccuzzo found out about the incident while on holiday in Ibiza with Messi's teammate Cesc Fabregas and his girlfriend Daniella Semaan. It claims Messi, 26, 'travelled to the City of Sin and participated in a party next to a blonde stripper' after playing in an exhibition match in Chicago on July 6.

13.47 Pound Baby Born In Germany

A baby weighing almost a stone and measuring 22.6 inches long has been born in Germany.
Baby Jasleen arrived on July 26 and weighed a massive 13.47 pounds. Babies her size are usually born via a caesarean section, she was born naturally. The mother gave birth at University Hospital in Leipzig and discovered she had a previously undiagnosed case of gestational diabetes, German newspaper Der Spiegel reports.
This condition, which develops at around the 24th week of pregnancy, can lead to a larger than usual baby size. Although both mother and daughter are doing well, Jasleen remains in the neonatal care unit. She is now officially the largest new-born in Germany.

Covenant University Holds 8th Convocation Ceremony

A total of 114 students of the Covenant University, Ota, in Ogun State graduated with first class honours, the News Agency of Nigeria reports.

The first class students were among the 1,466 who were awarded various degrees at the institution’s 8th convocation ceremony.
The Chancellor of the University,Dr. David Oyedepo, said at the event that 720 of the students made Second Class (Upper Division), 565 Second Class (Lower Division), and 67 Third Class.
Mr. Oyedepo said that 111 of the students were awarded Master’s Degrees while 30 others obtained PhD. He said the university’s Board of Regent had mandated it to become one of the best 10 universities in the world in the next 10 years.
Mr. Oyedepo said that the mandate was known as “Vision 1 of 10 in 10’’. He said that the board had also approved the adjustment of the institution’s academic calendar in line with best practices.
The Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. Charles Ayo, advised the graduating students to strive for excellence in all their endeavours.
The Minister of Power, Chinedu Nebo, who was the guest speaker, urged developing nations to embrace the principles of the “new economy’’.
He delivered a paper entitled: “Transformational Leadership and the Quest for Global Relevance.”
Nebo said: “The world economy is now global, highly competitive and driven by knowledge.
“The world has evolved into a global knowledge economy that has no patience for ignorance and indolence.
“In this new economy, talent, entrepreneurship, creativity, innovation, ability to network and capacity to develop, nuture and master complex dynamics, drive personal economic success and success of nations.”
Mr. Nebo said that, for the first time in documented history, Sub-Saharan Africa was witnessing robust growth, and that Nigeria was one of the growth leaders.
“Africa is being looked at as a ray of hope and the bastion of growth. These opportunities promise to come if we are able to bring about transformational change in the way we do business and in our educational system,” he said.
He charged the students to be relevant in the new economy, where the individual was the knowledge worker.

Nigerians in Kenya Protest ,Harrasment and Intimidation by Police

Below is a letter written by Nigerians living in Kenya highlighting the harassment they face in the hands of police.

The harassment has taken a xenophobic dimension,  Just 2 days ago a Nigerian with Valid passport and entry Visa to Kenya was stopped by plain clothes policemen, when they requested for his passport, he promptly presented it to them. The passport was immediately seized and he was asked to to leave Kenya, as Nigerians only come to Kenya to take their woman, he resisted and insisted that he committed no offense, he was immediately attacked and beaten to a pulp and he was bleeding profusely.

The took him to the station and the OCS was so alarmed that he almost got physical with the policemen and insisted the paid for the guys treatment. He has taken pictures and also copies of his statement and dropped at the embassy.
3 days ago, 27 Nigerians were refused entry without Valid reasons yet we have a protocol of giving Visa's on entry by both countries Embassy officials who visited the Nigerians in jails broke down in
tears when the found out that they were not only innocent but that they were tortured and brutalized .
The Nigerian community has also met with leading politicians in Kenya who insist that our Ambassador has not only failed to do his Job, and that if we remain silent about this harassment that it will only get worse.
This case is only one of the many cases that is going on in Kenya.
We as an organization cannot afford to publish this letter on the pages of the Newspapers in Nigeria, but we are appealing and counting on your good graces to help us make our plight known.

Peter and Paul already have kids; and we all know their heartthrobs. Can you tell us the one in your life?
Why are you people always forcing me to come to the public? I don’t want to be a celebrity and I am not one of them. I don’t sing, dance or act. I love where I am now (hiding myself) and if I love to do that, how do you expect me to introduce the lady I am dating? Back to your question, I have somebody, yes but I won’t tell you her name.

Who is your ideal woman?
The most important thing I look out for in a woman is understanding, aside physical beauty because everybody wants to look at the person beside him and be amazed and happy to have married a beautiful lady, not an ugly girl. Basically, your wife should understand you, especially when both male and female fans are swarming around you, wanting to take photographs with you and the rest. She must understand when you’re at work and office. That is my kind of woman.
Meaning that your lady has all these qualities?
Yes, she does. She’s beautiful and understanding.
So, when are you kicking bachelorhood?
When I will kick bachelorhood, I will call you and my fans to come and eat and drink. Already, I have purchased the bell, when it’s time, I will ring it.
Why is it taking so long, on a more serious note?
It’s taking so long because I am waiting for you people. Basically, why I am not yet married is that I don’t want to get married because I have all it takes to marry or because I am ripe. I want to get married and feel married so that I will be committed to my wife.
Although, I am not looking for a perfect person, but she must be a friend, partner, everything and someone that understands what I do.

DMX Arrested Again: DUI, No Driver's License

Rapper DMX has been arrested in South Carolina and charged with driving under the influence. Greenville County jail officials say the 42-year-old, whose real name is Earl Simmons, was arrested early Friday. He was also charged with not having a driver's license.

Simmons was arrested last year in nearby Spartanburg County for suspicion of driving without a license. In that case, he was released after paying a fine.

Jail records show Simmons has been released. It wasn't clear if he has an attorney.

Simmons was arrested in a Phoenix suburb in 2011 after a trooper clocked him driving at 102 mph. He had recently finished a stint in prison on probation revocation for failing to submit to drug testing and driving without a license.

Usain Bolt wants to reassure his fans he's not a PED-abusing cheater ... after two of his biggest rivals tested positive for banned substances. 

Bolt -- the fastest man on the planet (BY FAR) -- addressed the media in London today in the wake of the juicing busts of his Jamaican teammate Asafa Powell and American runner Tyson Gay.

"It's going to set us back a little bit but as a person I can't really focus on this," Bolt said.
