Massive Tornado rips through Oklahoma:90 people killed and Over 233 Injured

A massive tornado that swept through portions of Oklahoma yesterday has claimed dozens of lives with the death toll expected to rise.
Two entire schools flattened in Moore, Oklahoma after 200 mph winds pulverized a 30-square-mile stretch yesterday
At least 91 people confirmed dead, authorities say, and at least another 233 injured in local hospitals.
More than 20 children are among the dead, including the seven found drowned in Plaza Towers
Children were told to hold on to the walls, while teachers shielding the students with their bodies
Hundreds of homes wiped out and more than 8,000 people left without power
The devastating tornado was larger than 1999 storm in the area that left 36 people decadeA desperate search is underway for survivors after a giant two-mile wide tornado roared through the suburbs of Oklahoma leaving 91 dead, including seven children who drowned in a pool of water at their school.Plaza Towers Elementary was in the direct path of the giant twister and today rescuers were combing the debris to find 24 students who went missing after the building took a direct hit during 45 minutes of terror yesterday afternoon.President Barack Obama has declared a major disaster area in Oklahoma, ordering federal aid to supplement state and local efforts in Moore.Another elementary school, homes and a hospital were among the buildings leveled by the 200mph winds leaving residents of the town of about 50,000 people stunned at the devastation and loss of life.Oklahoma Governor Mary Fallin expressed her grief on behalf of her state for the parents of the missing children, aged between five and eight, as the death toll across the Oklahoma City suburb of Moore escalated.'Our hearts are broken for the parents that are wondering about the state of their children that had been in the schools that have been hit today,' Fallin said. 'I know that there are families wondering where their loved ones are.'She added that rescuers were 'looking under every single piece of debris' for the missing.

Extend state of emergency to Kano, Kaduna, Plateau

Former national chairman of the Traditional Rulers of Oil Minerals Producing Communities of Nigeria, TROMPCON, HRM Charles Ayemi-Botu, has  said declaration of state of emergency by President Goodluck Jonathan in only three Northern states of Borno, Yobe and Adamawa was not enough.
Speaking in his palace at Okpokunu in Burutu Local Government Area, Delta state, when he played host to Ijaw Professionals in Diaspora, who came with medical and flood assistance to his people, the monarch said President Goodluck Jonathan should extend the state of emergency to Kano, Zamfara, Kaduna, Nassarawa, Benue and Plateau states.
Commending the President for the initial declaration in the three states, the Pere of Siembiri kingdom in Burutu Local Government Area of Delta state said, “He (Jonathan) seems to be fidgeting.”
According to him, “These persons want to Islamize the country, they are saying they abhor western education, you can see that they have no cogent reason for the killings, they are masquerading and doing all these things because their sponsors do not want Jonathan. Therefore, a state of emergency declared should involve those in the neighbouring states. Stepping it down the way it was done is not a full- force declaration.”
His words, “If the governor of a state supports the Boko Haram, leaving him in the position will not work.”He should have included these states. It has been predicted that in 2015, Nigeria will break into many parts, if he does not want all these doomsday prophecies, as the Commander in-Chief, he should damn them and declare a full state of emergency.”
  ”In my opinion, these boys can move to the nearby states, he should place these states on standby, the step is not enough but he should brave it. He should declare it and deal with them adequately. He should step on toes,” he added.
According to him, “Has the Northern Elders gathered together to talk to the Boko Haram sect all these while? They are doing this to rock Jonathan’s government; they want their person to be there so that it can be business as usual.”
He stated, “My stand is let the Federal Government convoke a sovereign conference for the people to decide whether to stay together, let us know where we will go and let everyone go and manage its resources.”
The monarch said, “They want to continue to chop our oil money, they have 83 per cent of oil blocs, it is like a family affair to them, and our people are suffering. We should prepare for 2015, if Jonathan will be the last President then let it be so.”
He stated, “If we are practicing a presidential system of government, we should practice true federalism. Let the people control their resources and pay royalties. No wonder they are fighting the PIB bill.”
“Jonathan should step on toes, revoke all the oil block licences, Nestoil belongs to Yar’Adua. Posterity will not forgive Jonathan if he fails to revoke the oil licences, 50 per cent should go to the Niger Delta, oil is exhaustible, we want to control it and see how to invest the money before it is finished. They are angry that Jonathan is there now, they want their person,” he asserted.

More than 2,000 people flee Borno to Niger Republic

More than 2,000 Nigerians living in border villages in Borno State have reportedly fled as a result of the ongoing military operations targeted at routing insurgents from the area under the emergency rule.

The fleeing villagers were said to have headed to the neighbouring Niger Republic.

“Most of the residents of border villages of Borno have fled to Niger. About 2,000 people from Abadan, Malam Fatori and other villages are now refugees in Difa, Niger Republic,” a top security officer told one of our correspondents on Sunday.

The source said that the Joint Military Task Force was on the trail of members of the Boko Haram sect, who were dislodged from the Sambisa Game Reserve and other camps on Thursday in Borno State.

It was learnt that residents of Maiduguri and other communities far from the border, who did not want to be caught in the cross-fire had also fled to some neighbouring states, including Kano and Bauchi.

American rap artist, Kanye West is getting kicks for his latest album title ‘ Yezzus’ due to drop June 18 but he’s only just begun.

Only hours ago, he released the artwork for the album cover pictured above; a seemingly heinous creature. This album Yezzus is coming after he released a single called I AM A GOD.

Also he dropped a picture of him with thorns on his head, which is very much offensive to the christian faith.

In March, it was rumoured Kanye plans to call his baby with Kim Kardashian ‘Khrist’ and a lot of blood boiled over. Thankfully, that rumour may not be true as another name ‘North-West’ has popped up and is leading the trail of names for their unborn baby.
