Serena Williams wins her 5th US Open

World No.1 Serena Williams today Sunday September 8th claimed her fifth US Open crown and 17th career grand slam singles title after beating world No. 2 Victoria Azarenka with a 7-5 6-7(6) 6-1.
This victory makes Serena the oldest US Open women's winner since tennis turned professional 45 years ago, eclipsing Australian Margaret Court, who was 31 years when she won the title in 1973. Big congrats to Serena.

Gov Fashola visits Young Shall Grow boss Chief Obianodo in hospital

Lagos State Governor Babatunde Fashola has paid a visit to multimillionaire transport boss, Chief Vincent Obianodo, who was attacked by suspected assassins on Tuesday night August 27th in Festac. The Young Shall Grow boss survived the assassination attempt but his police escort and driver were not so lucky. They were killed while Chief Obianodo was hit on the left shoulder
Chief Obianodo said he owned his survival from the bravery of an inspector of Police who fought gallantly to repel the assassins. Simon Ogbueshi, attached to B.OPs, Patrol and Guard at the Lagos State Police command, Ikeja, opened fire on chief Obianodo's attackers, killing two of the suspected assassins.

Death Certificate Released Gunshot Wound To Head

Former Disney star Lee Thompson Young died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head ... this according to the actor's official death certificate obtained by TMZ. We broke the story ... Young's body was discovered at his North Hollywood apartment on August 19th, after he failed to show up to the set of his TNT drama "Rizzoli and Isles."According to the death certificate, Young used a handgun to take his own life. Young -- who rocketed to stardom back in 1998 as the title character in the Disney show "The Famous Jett Jackson" -- didn't leave a suicide note. Young's friends and family are still struggling to understand why the actor shot himself -- though some of his family members told law enforcement he suffered from "depression issues."Young was 29.
