50 people die in Russian plane crash today

A passenger plane crashed at an airport in the Russian city of Kazan today, killing all 50 people on board, reports say.
The Boeing 737 had taken off from Moscow and was trying to land but exploded on impact at about 19:20 local time (15:20 GMT), officials said.
The Emergencies Ministry said there were 44 passengers and six crew members on the Tatarstan Airlines flight.
Investigators are now looking at whether a technical failure or crew error may have caused the crash. Among the dead was Irek Minnikhanov, a son of the president of the Russian Republic of Tatarstan, according to the official passenger list.
Aleksander Antonov, who headed Tatarstan's branch of the Federal Security Service, was also among the passengers. The victims also included two children.
Reports said the pilot had already tried to land several times before crashing. The crew had said they were not ready to land because of technical problems, Russian news agencies report.
A journalist who said she had flown on the same aircraft from Kazan to Moscow earlier on Sunday told Russia's Channel TV that there was a strong vibration during the landing in the Russian capital.
"When we were landing it was not clear whether there was a strong wind, although in Moscow the weather was fine, or some kind of technical trouble or problem with the flight," said Lenara Kashafutdinova.
"We were blown in different directions, the plane was tossed around. The man sitting next to me was white as a sheet."
The airport in Kazan - the capital of Tatarstan - has been closed since the accident and is expected to re-open on Monday morning.
Kazan lies about 720km (450 miles) east of Moscow.
Although some of Russia's biggest airlines now have very good reputations, frequent crashes by smaller operators mean the country has one of the worst air safety records in the world.

INEC Declares Anambra State Governorship Election Inconclusive

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared the Anambra Governorship election that held on Saturday November 16th inconclusive.
The commission declared the election inconclusive due to the significant number of votes it voided during counting. It said the total number of votes cancelled is much more than the difference between the candidate with the highest number of votes and the runner up.
The results declared by the commission showed that Chief Willie Obiano of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) polled 174, 710; Comrade Tony Nwoye of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) polled 94, 354, while Senator Chris Ngige of the All Progressive Congress (APC) polled 92, 300 votes.

The APC, PDP, and Labour Party candidates had in a joint statement on Sunday called for the cancellation of the election citing irregularities.
The Chairman of the commission, Professor Attahiru Jega, had also in an interview with a local television station admitted that the election was flawed, especially in Idemili North local government, where he said the electoral officer connived with outside interests to sabotage and subvert the electoral process.
INEC to conduct supplementary elections in areas where elections were cancelled or did not hold.

Chris Brown Out Of Rehab

Troubled singer Chris Brown is out of rehab.
Brown's representative Nicole Perna says the 24-year-old singer will continue treatment for anger issues as an outpatient in Los Angeles and "appreciates all of your encouragement and support." He entered rehab voluntarily after his arrest in Washington, D.C., following a fight with a man that led to a misdemeanor assault charge that puts Brown's probation in jeopardy.
Perna says Brown is working on the community service requirement of the plea deal he agreed to after pleading guilty to attacking then-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009. Brown faces four years in prison if a judge decides to revoke his probation a second time. A judge briefly revoked it in August after a hit-and-run, and ordered him to perform an additional 1,000 hours of community service.

GQ' magazine Names Kendrick Lamar ''Rapper of the Year."

GQ Kendrick Lamar

From Kendrick Lamar's "Good Kid, M.A.A.D. City," his first-person LP examination of the callous realities of growing up in the drug and gang ministered streets of Compton, to the "Control" verse that sent the hip-hop community sputtering to its knees, one thing has been clear: 2013 is the year of King Kendrick.
And with GQ's release of its 18th annual Men of the Year issue, the magazine saw fit to place the crown upon his head, naming Lamar as "Rapper of the Year."
In an interview with GQ's Steve Marsh, Kendrick recalled being 21 years old and the night that fundamentally altered his perception of his artistic objective:
"I was coming from a late studio session, sleeping on Mom's couch. I'm 26 now -- it wasn't that long ago. I remember being tired, tripping from the studio, lying down, and falling into a deep sleep and seeing a vision of Pac talking to me. Weirdest shit ever. I'm not huge on superstition and all that shit. That's what made it so crazy. It can make you go nuts. Hearing somebody that you looked up to for years saying, 'Don't let the music die.' Hearing it clear as day. Clear as day. Like he's right there. Just a silhouette." The visit from Pac changed Kendrick's connection to the world he was chronicling in his music and compelled him to think more carefully about who was listening to it. "It wasn't just about money, hos, clothes, drinkin'," he explains. "I mean, I come from that world, but at the same time, I started to realize that there's people out there that can't really connect to that lifestyle. They're in the struggle."

How many of you agree with what Akon said?

Akon who is a known polygamist said in a recent interview that monogamy is not only 'stupid'; it’s 'impossible.'
"The average guy in the world has a main girl and they got a side chick. And then they got a jumpoff. At the end of the day as a male we are natural breeders by nature. We can’t even escape it if we wanted to.
Let’s say you put 1,000 guys on one corner and one bad chick walk passed. You gon’ see 1,000 heads go, ‘Damn.’ They don’t even know why they doing it. They’re natural breeders. It’s in their genes, they can’t help it. Men are put on this earth to breed and the reason why God put multiple women on this earth is for that.
People are having relationships, boyfriend and girlfriend, and treating it like it’s actually marriage. You’re just dating.
The whole purpose of dating is so you can date this one, and date this one, and date this one until you find out, ‘Okay, this is the person I want to spend the rest of my life with. Okay now, I commit to what’s called marriage.’
You find that one woman that supplies everything that you desire in a woman, of course that will be a motivation to stick with that one woman, but I don’t know no one woman that can satisfy every man’s one need. It’s impossible. Just like there’s no man that can satisfy a woman’s every need. Women just aren’t built to breed like that or… mate with more than one partner. Women aren’t built that way, men are.”
