Kristen Stewart COVERS Marie Claire magazine

kristen stewart marie claire

Kristen Stewart gets surprisingly candid in a new interview with Marie Claire magazine.
The one-time tabloid princess graces the cover of the magazine's March 2014 issue and opens up about past mistakes, admitting she's just as awkward as you would imagine.
The 23-year-old "Twilight" star's personal life became fodder for public discussion when she was photographed cheating on then-boyfriend Robert Pattinson with married director Rupert Sanders. Though Stewart actually apologized after the photos were published, today she seems more confident with how the past played out, telling Marie Claire, "I stand by every mistake I’ve ever made, so judge away.”
Stewart also opens up about her reputation for appearing less-than-thrilled to be at pretty much every award show or press event she's ever attended, telling the magazine it comes down to the fact that she just can't muster the fake enthusiasm.
“I have an embarrassing inability, seriously, of summoning fake energy … I’m just not very good on TV, and it’s not my main goal in life to get good at it," she explained. "People are like, ‘She just can’t handle’ –- for lack of a better word -– ‘the spotlight.’ No, actually, I can’t, and that is totally who I am. I love being an actor, but I’m the last person to want to have a birthday party. I don’t try to force it or turn it into something else or fabricate this personality … so I totally agree when people say I’m, like, the most awkward person.”

ASUU accuses FG of reneging on release of N20billion

The Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, has accused the Federal Govt of failing to honor one of the agreements it entered with FG before last year's six-month-old strike was called off.

FG had promised the release of N20billion at the beginning of every quarter for infrastructural development of all Universities during its negotiations with ASUU.
In a media parley with newsmen at the University of Ibadan yesterday, the National Treasurer of ASUU, Dr. Ademola Aremu lamented the failure of Government to honour agreements with ASUU..
"All the strike ASUU had embarked upon in this country were basically because the Federal Government failed to honour agreements freely entered with us. It is also sad that each time before we begin the strike, we would give the government enough warnings and grace to make them retrace their steps. But they always fail. We don’t know why the government is always unwilling to implement the documents signed by their representatives. However, we will continue to fight for the system because if the system collapses, we will collapse with it.”

Michael Jackson Estate Targeted by IRS Shocking Tax-Cheating Allegations

0207-michael-jackson-irs

The Michael Jackson Estate is in the crosshairs of the IRS for allegedly cheating taxpayers out of a fortune ... and now the taxman wants the Estate to pay the piper -- to the tune of more than $700 million.
The allegations are stunning.  According to legal docs -- obtained by the L.A. Times -- when Michael died the executors told the IRS his net worth was around $7 million.  The IRS now says MJ's net worth was actually $1.125 BILLION!  And in a HIGHLY unusual move, the IRS claimed executors so grossly misled the agency, it doubled the tax penalty -- from 20 - 40%.  So the IRS claims the Estate didn't pay $505 million worth of taxes, and when you add the 40% it comes to more than $702 Million.
As for what the agency says was under-reported:

-- The Estate valued MJ's likeness at $2,105. The IRS says the value is actually more than $434 million.
-- The Estate valued Michael's interest in a trust that owns songs by MJ and the Beatles at ZERO!  The IRS says its more like $469 million.
-- There's another MJ trust the Estate claims is worth $2.2 mil.  The IRS says it's worth $60.6 mil.
-- The Estate valued the Jackson 5 master recordings at $11.2 mil.  The IRS says $45.5 mil.

It's pretty clear the Estate will fight this like crazy, but worst case scenario the taxes could wipe out what the Estate has made since MJ's death ... which could be devastating for Michael's kids.

We contacted a rep for the Estate who says they stand by their initial statements on the matter ... telling us, "The Estate of Michael Jackson disputes the IRS position in its entirety."

The rep adds, "The Estate used independent, nationally-recognized and highly-qualified expert appraisers in determining the value of the Estate’s assets. By contrast, the IRS consultant’s values are not based on standard appraisal methodology, but rather are speculative and erroneous assumptions unsupported by the facts or law. The Estate has paid over $100 Million dollars in taxes and is in full compliance with the tax laws."
