Over 40 people were killed yesterday evening Tuesday Feb. 11th in
Konduga village in Borno state by gunmen suspected to be members of Boko
Haram.
The gunmen arrived the village around 5:30pm yesterday and started
shooting people. Several houses and a secondary school were burnt down
according to security officials who visited the village after the
attack. One security personnel said he counted at least 40 bodies
following the unexpected attack.
The attackers met no resistance from security agencies as they carried
out their deed. Military men reportedly arrived after the men had gone
and have taken over the security situation in the area.
Nicole Kidman graces the cover of InStyle magazine's March issue,
donning classic Dior fashion. However, the "Grace of Monaco" actress
admits she would rather spend her time as a stay-at-home mom in
Nashville than a city–chic star.
Kidman,
46, has been married to country star Keith Urban since 2006 and the
couple have two children together, daughters Sunday and Faith. The
family calls Nashville, Tenn. home, but they have found a comfort in
their often vagabond lifestyle. Between Kidman's filming and Urban's
tours, the Australian–raised duo has grown very accustomed to life on
the road -- and even life apart.
"Keith and I are both gypsies at
heart. We can make our home wherever we are. The girls are like that too
now, so we take them everywhere," she said, crediting Urban's tour bus
for showing her most of America.
However, two busy careers mean
Kidman and Urban aren't always able to accommodate each others'
schedules, with Kidman telling InStyle, "For every single night he’s
away, he leaves me a love letter. Every single night of our
relationship."
As romantic as that sounds, the actress is happiest
when the whole family is together. "I’m very country at heart. I have a
real desire to be outdoors, a desire for simplicity -- a slightly
slower, relaxed approach to life. A community, not a big-city feel.
That’s what I grew up with, and it’s what I prefer."
It sounds like Kidman, who has lived everywhere from Hawaii to Australia to D.C., is finally growing her roots.
Rihanna
says her accountant made so many boneheaded decisions that he blew her
fortune and she was "effectively bankrupt" by the end of 2009
The
singer claims in new legal docs she had $11 MILLION in cash at the
beginning of 2009. Rihanna says the accountant was not on the ball and
she was horrified to learn at the end of the year she had $2 million
left. To make matters worse, her expenses doubled, which left her on a
financial cliff.
As for how Rihanna blew through $9 million in
one year ... she says her accountant gave her the green light to buy a
house priced between $7 and 7 1/2 million. So she took his advice. She
ultimately sold the house for a $2 million LOSS.
She also claims her 2009 tour -- Last Girl on Earth Tour -- was losing money but the accountant never gave her the heads up.
The legal docs were filed in connection with a lawsuit Rihanna filed against her accountant, claiming gross mismanagement.
BTW ... Rihanna has rebounded nicely. Her net worth is now estimated at $43 mil.

Kristen Stewart gets surprisingly candid in a new interview with Marie Claire magazine.
The one-time tabloid princess graces the cover of the magazine's March 2014 issue and opens up about past mistakes, admitting she's just as awkward as you would imagine.
The 23-year-old "Twilight" star's personal life became fodder for public discussion when she was photographed cheating on then-boyfriend Robert Pattinson with married director Rupert Sanders. Though Stewart actually apologized after the photos were published,
today she seems more confident with how the past played out, telling
Marie Claire, "I stand by every mistake I’ve ever made, so judge away.”
Stewart also opens up about her reputation for appearing less-than-thrilled to be at pretty much every award show or press event she's ever attended, telling the magazine it comes down to the fact that she just can't muster the fake enthusiasm.
“I
have an embarrassing inability, seriously, of summoning fake energy …
I’m just not very good on TV, and it’s not my main goal in life to get
good at it," she explained. "People are like, ‘She just can’t handle’ –-
for lack of a better word -– ‘the spotlight.’ No, actually, I can’t,
and that is totally who I am. I love being an actor, but I’m the last
person to want to have a birthday party. I don’t try to force it or turn
it into something else or fabricate this personality … so I totally
agree when people say I’m, like, the most awkward person.”
