During a recent interview with Encomium magazine, singer Iyanya gave an
insight into why some Nigerian entertainers are forced to live large.
"Why do you think some artistes come come up with hit songs and find it difficult to maintain it?"
Iyanya "Music is very expensive. Most of them make money and its had to put it
back in the same thing. Your next money is not guaranteed because there
are lots of artistes. If you say you wouldn't do show A, they can take
artiste B for that show. It doesn't mean that because you have a hit
song, you would be performing at all shows. It doesn't work like that.
So, some of these guys, its hard for them. Its hard for them to follow up.
Follow up is the hardest thing to do. Many artistes make a hit but the
money they make from that hit is not even enough for them to support or
sponsor the next video. So don't blame them'.
So they need a lot of money to remain relevant?
Iyanya "Yes. Let me give you an instance. I had a show here in Lagos, I
was in Dubai. They made a mistake and booked my flight for Monday and
the show was on Sunday. We rushed to the airport, they said no that my
ticket was for the next day. After much pleading and explaining that I
had a show that night in Lagos, they said alright. I could board but not
business class since it wasn't my flight. I had to fly economy class
with my business class ticket. Sitting down there, people around where
staring at me like what am I doing here. A woman even walked up to me
and said "Iyanya, you no suppose dey here now, na the other side you
suppose dey". What came to my mind next was that I can't just decide to
fly economy today, it will become gist. I have to work hard, I have to
make money, to live up to your expectations. It's not like am living my
life for you but its the life I chose. So, I have to do it".
Kanye West
was like a boxer going in for the kill ... pummeling an 18-year old guy
with more than 30 blows ... this according to an eyewitness.
We broke the story ... an 18-year-old allegedly called Kim a "n****r lover" on
his way into the office of a Beverly Hills chiropractor. Minutes
later, Kim and Kanye stormed in -- Kim ID the kid -- and her baby daddy
went nuts.
The eyewitness tells TMZ ... the
18-year-old was sitting in a chair as Kanye made a beeline for him and,
without saying a word, started slugging him in the face. The kid was
covering his face but Kanye was unrelenting. Kim just stood there and
silently watched the beating.
The receptionist was screaming,
"Stop, stop," but Kanye ignored her. The kid quickly curled up into a
ball to block the blows.
The massage therapist rushed into the
waiting room and pushed Kanye off the kid and ordered him out of the
office. Kanye got out of the building and Kim went to another office
for a meeting.
Rapper and businessman Ruggedman is one of the many celebrities against
the recently passed ant-gay law. He took to twitter to voice his
opinion.

charges against Kanye West after the rapper allegedly punched him for
calling his fiancee Kim Kardashian a N***r lover.
TMZ: Kanye West just attacked an 18-year-old guy inside the waiting room of a
chiropractor's office ... after the guy allegedly called Kanye the
N-word ... TMZ has learned.Kim was at a Beverly Hills medical building
when she was swarmed by photos. We're told the guy allegedly tried to
help Kim get in the building, as he started screaming, "F**k these
fa**ot-ass n****rs"" -- referring to the paparazzi. Kim then told him
it was not appropriate to use the N-word. We're told he then screamed
at her, "F**k you bitch. Just trying to help you. Shut up n****r
lover, stupid slut."Apparently that got Kim hot as fish grease ... she
watched the guy walk into an office. As they were walking we're told
the guy continued berating Kim. She dialed Kanye on his cell, and when
the guy realized Kanye was on the phone he allegedly said, "F**k you
N****r." Kanye -- who had just arrived at the building -- then met up
with Kim.Sources say Kanye and Kim rushed into the waiting room of
chiropractor Richard Hill and found the 18-year-old sitting there.
Witnesses say Kanye punched the guy and Kim screamed, "We have it all on
tape." Sources say the massage therapist in the office separated the 2
men. Beverly Hills cops were called and the 18-year-old said he wanted
to press charges. Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... Kanye is now
officially a suspect in a battery investigation and they want to
interview him. We're also told the matter will be referred to the L.A.
County D.A. for possible prosecution.
Remember -- Kanye is currently
facing assault charges involving a photog attack at LAX.
Cristiano Ronaldo has won the FIFA Ballon d'Or award for 2013, ending Lionel Messi's four-year run as the world's best player.

Doctors at the University of Gothenburg Sweden have successfully
carried out womb transplant for 9 women who were born without a womb
and are waiting for them to get pregnant. This amazing new kind of
surgery is geared towards helping women who are born without wombs, a
medical condition called MKRH or had there uterus removed due to severe
medical conditions such as cervical cancer.
The wombs received were from
mothers or female relatives of the recipients. All nine women are
currently ovulating which is a good sign that the wombs are doing fine
inside the women.
Saudi Arabia is the first country in the world to have carried
out womb transplant in the year 2000 but the recipient recorded blood
clot and so the womb was removed. Turkey was the 2nd country to try the
womb transplant were they took womb from dead people and transplanted
into this women but the process also failed as the women lost their
babies after 2 months of conception. England is preparing to also carry
out the process.
Head surgeon for this process Dr Mats Brannstrom said
"This is a research study. It could lead
to the women
having children, but there are no guarantees …what is certain is that
they are making a contribution to science.".
