Chris Brown pleads not guilty

The victim Olga Gure-Kovalenko claimed he didn’t share his insurance information or his driver’s licence on the scene, which is an offence in California.
According to TMZ, Chris pled not guilty to the hit-and-run charge and he is now forced to visit a police station before 6 August since he wasn’t arrested on the day of the incident. He will be required to take a mug shot while he is being booked for the crime.
Two of the misdemeanours originally brought against the musician by prosecutors, driving without a valid licence and proof of insurance, were dismissed.
Chris is expected back in court to address the hit-and-run violation on 15 August.
Although Olga has since decided not to move forward in court with the case, the DA’s office wants Chris to face punishment.
The musician will go to court for a probation hearing in August and should the judge deem the hit-and-run charge to be a violation, Chris could see himself in prison for up to four years.
Chris is finding support from odd places on the matter, as hit and run victim Olga doesn’t want to see Chris go to jail over the incident. Her lawyer is apparently testifying on his behalf.
Chris meanwhile is distraught about how things are turning out.
“I did everything I was suppose to do during the so called hit n run, I provided the correct info (sic),” he wrote on Twitter recently. “There were no injuries or damages. C’mon!!”
