Miguel was arrested on a Driving Under Influence [DUI] charge on Thursday (August 15), MTV News has confirmed.
Police officials tell us that the singer was initially pulled over for speeding in the L.A. area at 2:15 a.m. but later was booked on a DUI charge and he failed a breathalyzer test. A rep for the singer has not responded to MTV News' request for comment as of press time.
According to an initial report, the singer was driving his 2013 BMW X6 when he was pulled over for speeding and tinted windows before he underwent several field sobriety tests, during which he blew a .10 and .11. The legal limit in California is .08. He reportedly was booked and released on $5,000 bail. He's due back in court in September.
